1. Overview & Core Principles

Bankai TV is built with a privacy-first mindset. We believe that streaming anime should not require giving away personal information, email addresses, or phone numbers.

We do not track you across the web, we do not employ third-party advertising networks, and we never sell, monetize, or disclose your personal information to data brokers or marketing firms.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimal data necessary to provide you with a functional streaming and tracking experience:

• Account Credentials: When you create an account, we store your chosen username and a one-way cryptographically salted password (hashed via bcrypt). We do not store and cannot read your plaintext password.

• Watchlist & Watch History: We record the anime in your personal watchlist and your playback progress (current episode and timestamp) so you can resume where you left off.

• User Reviews: Any reviews or ratings you explicitly choose to post on an anime's page are stored in our database.

We do NOT collect your real name, email address, physical location, or credit card information. Bankai TV is completely free.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

Bankai TV does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We utilize browser LocalStorage and SessionStorage solely for essential application features: keeping you logged in if requested, remembering your playback settings (audio sub/dub, auto-skip, auto-next), preserving UI preferences (monochrome theme, title language), and ensuring announcement dialogs only appear once per session.

You can clear LocalStorage or delete saved cookies at any time through your web browser settings.

4. Third-Party Integrations & Embeds

• Anime Metadata: Metadata including titles, cover artwork, episode counts, and descriptions is retrieved from AniList's public GraphQL API.

• Video Streaming: Video players are delivered via independent third-party embed servers (such as ZokoAnime and AniLink). When interacting with an embedded player, your browser establishes a direct connection with the respective provider.

• Community Discussions: Comments are loaded via The Anime Community embed widget. If you interact with the comment system, your actions are subject to their service terms.

5. Data Retention & Control

Your watch history and list entries remain associated with your account until you remove them or request account deletion. You can clear your watch history at any time from the History page.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as features evolve. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Bankai TV constitutes agreement to the updated policy.
